hmmm. many months ago--i believe it was some time during the fall semester--i purchased a lolita poster from the now-defunct crossroads mall. more specifically, i ordered this print from the flatirons' poster store, and picked it up at crossroads, because they didn't have any copies there except for the display. i didn't actually have any room for the poster on my walls, so it's been sitting under my bed all year. anyway, i just pulled it out and opened it up for the hell of it--i actually just recently remembered i that i had even purchased it--and i realized that they gave me the wrong poster! it is indeed a french lolita poster, but the one i ordered said, "comment a-t-on os� faire un film de lolita?" (roughly, "how could someone dare to make a movie of lolita?" for all you non-french speakers), and this one just has the image, plus a vase with a flower in it. i actually think i like this one better though...so all is not lost.
and yes, when i move, i'm actually going to put it on my goddamn wall. but in the meantime, here is what it looks like:
